Ty's upbringing is a testament to his agricultural roots, having spent his formative years as the fifth generation on his family's century-old beef cattle ranch situated in the scenic landscapes of Geyser, Montana. Here, he cultivated a profound connection to the land and the intricacies of managing a successful ranch.
He attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture/Economics at Montana State University – Bozeman, where he also played football for the Bobcats. Post-graduation, Ty ventured into the world of agricultural finance, serving as an agricultural operating and real estate lender for Rabo AgriFinance in Twin Falls, Idaho. Subsequently, he took the helm at Verified Beef, a prominent beef cattle marketing company headquartered in Bozeman, Montana, where his leadership skills thrived.
Despite his thriving career, Ty remains deeply connected to his family's ranch, actively participating in its operations and contributing to its enduring legacy.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Ty enjoys leatherwork, cheering on the Bobcat football team, western dancing, fitness, and spending time with his beloved wife, daughter, and son.
