About Down Home Financial
Good old fashioned service is hard to come by these days. The name “Down Home” was adapted from the song by the country band Alabama. The lyrics say, “Down Home, where we know you by name and treat you like family. Down Home, where a man’s good word and a handshake are all you need….”
This fits my old soul, this fits the company, as this is how I have operated as an advisor. Knowing my clients personally and seeing them as my extended family is the vision, and will be the vision, for the future. No matter where the company goes, my word and a handshake are all that you need. Welcome to Down Home Financial!

Our Story
I didn't learn about agricultural financial planning from textbooks; I lived it. My connection to agriculture runs deep, rooted in a family history that spans generations of farming and ranching, and the wisdom that comes from watching families successfully plan for the future.
My grandparents on my mother's side were wheat farmers who understood something that many farming families struggle with today: the importance of planning for the next generation. While most folks in those days just put everything back into the operation, my grandma and grandpa were different. They had a plan to transition the business to the next generation.
When they were ready to retire and move to town, they'd already figured out how to make it work for everybody. My mom and her siblings got their fair share, and my uncle took over the farming operation. That's the kind of foresight that makes all the difference.
When I became a financial advisor in 2015, I recognized something was missing: while there were plenty of people who could talk finance, there weren't many who could talk both farm and finance. In our agricultural communities, that combination is essential.
